I just thought I’d post a quick note to let you all know I just bought my first D-SLR camera. I’ve been eyeing the D-SLRs for a while now, just waiting for the right moment to make the plunge. Since I’ll be a published photographer and illustrator soon, I figure it’s time for me to start using a “real camera”. I did, however, go on the low end of the D-SLR cameras, and purchased the Olympus E-410 with two lenses.

As much as I love my old camera, I have no use for two pro-level cameras, so I’ll be selling it. It is the Olympus C-8080, 8MP camera. If anyone is interested, or if you know anyone who may be interested, I’ll sell it for only $300 (I’ll be posting it for $400 on ebay, but I’d rather have it go to a good home). Email me for all the details if you’re interested.

You know I couldn’t stay away for very long.

As you can see, the new site is VERY different than the old site, and contains a number of improvements to both the functionality and the design. This post details why I made these changes and explains a little bit about how to use the site properly. So keep reading.

I’ve decided I’ll continue to use the blog after all… but in a totally different way. There are times when I want to post about things I really like, or things I find interesting but don’t necessarily want to start a conversation about. Other times, there are superficial things I want to discuss but would rather “tease” you guys into emailing me or commenting to start discussion. And sometimes, I just need a place to post pictures, or links to things I think people should read, or little one liners of information. So THAT’s what this site is now going to be for. Think of it as an extended, more permanent shoutbox (but don’t stop using the shoutbox!).
