Behind the Scenes with Hotcakes New Media…Part I…

(the following post was written by Tina)

Well, as promised folks, I decided to take our camera along with us on Saturday night to document the process for the video shoot for the “Are You Bullet Proof” music video for To The Rescue.

It all started with meeting the Crew on Bradley Street where Andy and Dave were in the process of discussing the shoot…

It was not long after we arrived that Dave and Andy started work on creating the murder scene…

And then the players started to show up… one by one….

And like any set, Ginette got our players in the make-up chair…

Here’s Reda…one of the cops at the scene….

And Shannon who was the eye witness…..

To aid the director in capturing the perfect shots and angles, a monitor on the set was a definite must have…

Pretty soon, we started getting quite the curious looks from nearby locals as the scene was buzzing with activity….as Andy and Jeff were discussing lighting and angles….

With the scene staged, it was just a matter of time before shooting was to begin. All that we were waiting for was for nightfall to come upon us and for the lead character to make his appearance at our location…

So what happened? Let’s just say that there is no business like show business and even the best laid plans will often change. In life, nothing is for certain; however, that being said, that didn’t stop Hotcakes New Media from forging ahead and getting the job done despite the unexpected challenge that popped up that evening. Because, at the end of the day, there is no limit to the imagination, professionalism and determination that these guys possess for the love of their craft. They were fast on their feet in rethinking their next moves to keep the momentum going strong for this project and they turned this unexpected sequence of events into a great opportunity to work on an improvisational basis…and sometimes, despite the frustration of disappointment, working under added pressure can produce some of the best work…

So what happened? Stay tuned…tomorrow is Part Deux…unless Andy beats me to the punch. But a little suspense never hurt anyone, right……..?  :)

Love  Tina  :)
