The latest work in my Slices of Light series. I wanted to create a work that was somewhat abstract, but based on “real” elements, like the piano keyboard, and the music note. The abstraction allows me to focus on trying to represend sound waves in a visual style. This is also the first painting in this series in which I used a glazing techique to create a nice rich depth to the color. This piece was donated, and was on display at the Ottawa Home Show in March 2005.
